I am Linda Lane (previously Linda Rupniak) of the Konishiki Affix.  Stephen my husband and I live in a small village backing onto open fields in Northamptonshire.

My Dogs

I have had dogs for over 40 years and started with Chinese Shar Pei which I had for over 20 years.  In that time I imported many dogs from the USA and one of these Koko (Shengli Mon Ju Copious) is behind many of the Shar Pei today. In my time owning Shar Pei I won Best Bitch at Crufts with Burgoynes Imagination at Konishiki (Ginny) and then Best of Breed at Crufts with Yoshia Hooray Hallelujah at Konishiki (Maddy).

I also judge dogs and was honoured to give tickets for Shar Pei at Crufts 2016 with a massive entry of 75 dogs.  I have also judged the Toy Group at Open Show level and Best in Show at Open Shows.

Best Dog and best Bitch at Crufts 2016.

My last Shar pei went to doggy heaven a few years back and I bought my first Chinese Crested (a breed I had loved for many years and never owned).  Shumllea Surprise Surprise at Konishiki was my foundation bitch and produced some lovely puppies.  She was the girl who got me hooked on Chinese Cresteds.  I will talk more about my crested on a separate page.

My Chickens

I started off with chickens in the garden for their eggs, moving into breeding and showing Serama and Poland chickens a couple of years ago. I have also passed my Poultry Club exam for judging eggs and have great fun at the poultry shows across the country.

Please take a look at my Chicken pages for more information.

 April 2019 update

We have moved to a new house and unfortunately are unable to keep chickens but I do still judge eggs at the chicken shows 😀
